“A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies, said Jojen. The man who never reads lives only one.” – George R.R Martin
I’ve travelled many continents, fought in battles, cast magic spells, killed vampires, solved crimes, fell in love, fell out of love, and I’ve even been to outer space. I’ve travelled back in time. I’ve travelled forward in time, and all from the comfort of my bedroom.
Impossible you say? Nothing is impossible when you read. Everything is possible. You can be anyone you want, go anywhere you want, do whatever you want. I have lived many lives, and mine has just barely begun.
That’s why I love reading so much. No matter how my day is going, good or bad, I know that I can come home and escape it for a few hours and live someone else’s life.
Reading has been such a huge part of my life, I’m rarely known to not be reading something. The first book I remember reading was a book about Howard Carter finding Tutankhamun’s tomb in Egypt. That book not only got me hooked on Ancient Egypt, but also on books themselves, and I have not stopped since.
In this blog, I thought that I’d share my love for books and review the books that I read. Each week I’ll post a review of what I have read so far, which some weeks will be whole books!
